Nature on the Ranch!

Hi everyone, I’m so excited to be a guest blogger for Kalon.  I live on a ranch  in Texas and have the opportunity to take some awesome photos.   I love to use those unique photo’s in my art.  I find it is a way for me to share  the “ranch ” life with you city folk.

We have Fallow deer born and raised on our place.  We love to watch them kick up their heels in the fall.  This picture we just happened to ride up on momma and her baby.  A great moment to share!!!

I have been told this is a moth but to me and my granddaughter it is a butterfly.  This beauty landed on our peach tree and I was there to capture that moment on film ( and for show n’ tell for granddaughter’s kinder class)

This photo was amazing!!! I was on the phone and saw this beauty land in the garden right outside my studio window.  I quickly said my good-bye’s and picked up the camera.  I shot it through the glass – not the best picture but – oh, what a beautiful bird!!!!

This is one of my favorite photo’s.  We have chickens that we have raised from incubated eggs.  A favorite past time of my husband’s.   The exciting part of this photo is mama chicken was the incubator.  She hatched three chicks on her own.  The layout says it all ~ Wow what a good mom!!!!
