Will I Die Like My Mother? First Daughter Traits
Pat Matson’s path of life’s unfoldment has led her into…
During my growing up years, I heard the stories of the women and men in my family and with my fertile imagination, they impressed me deeply.
I am the First Daughter of a First Daughter. My mother was the First Daughter of a First Daughter. My grandmother was the First Daughter of a First Daughter and my great grandmother was the First Daughter of a First Daughter. Who knew if it went back yet another generation? This “First Daughter” idea was cute and appealing to me when I first learned it during my grade school years.
Subsequently, another layer was added to that story and this was an ugly layer. My grandma and her mother had both died of pancreatic cancer. In those days, pancreatic cancer was considered incurable. And then my mom manifested pancreatic cancer at the age of 58 and passed away the following year.
I felt as if I’d been stabbed and cut off at the knees! I later discovered my two sisters also developed the fear of dying at age 59 even though they didn’t have that First Daughter piece.
I was 29 years old when my mother died. I was divorced and I was raising my two sons by myself. I knew for certain and for sure those babies needed me and I determined then and there that I was not going to follow along in the same pattern. I was going to figure out what was causing this and I was not going to succumb to it.
I had learned that every single effect I could see was the result of something I thought. More than this, I was learning that Life is a Science. I learned that each bodily organ was the expression of some function of Mind Itself, completely controlled by one’s thinking, and that if something showed up as a malady in a specific organ – such as the pancreas – it would be possible to stop the current way of thinking and improve it toward the result of improved health.
I want you all to know that I am not advocating for my words in lieu of medical advice from your doctor. I am simply telling you my story. What you do with it is completely within your control.
You can imagine my delight when I celebrated my 60th birthday! I’ll tell you how that happened.
I learned to reason deductively about what is the Truth. I believe that the model for our lives includes health, wealth, and happiness, and I also recognize that we dilute that model when we think outside the model. I have completely destroyed the idea of heredity for myself when I lived past 59.
Did I clean it up entirely? No, I missed one small pocket, and I manifested type two diabetes in my 60’s. I am currently in the process of disappearing it entirely from my thinking, and since what you think is what you get, it’ll automatically be gone from my experience once I accomplish that.
If you are one of the women who think your mom’s death is your fate, I sincerely hope that my story shows you there may be a happier alternative. The light at the end of the tunnel is shining on the original model of health, wealth, and happiness and I work daily to know this truth is true and this is what I want in my life. So far, so good!
